CHITTAGONG, Jan 24 – Chittagong University organized a three-day Entrepreneurship Expo 2026 at Buddhijibi Chattar starting Friday morning, featuring over 45 stalls and concurrent seminar sessions by industry leaders.

The event, which began at 9 AM on January 24, attracted significant crowds from the outset, with brisk sales and strong visitor turnout, according to organizers from the Chittagong University Entrepreneurs Startup Society.

The expo runs simultaneously with entrepreneurship development seminars, allowing participants to both sell their products and attend sessions on business development. Stalls were set up quickly as scheduled, with the dual format enabling entrepreneurs to connect directly with customers while visitors learned from experienced business leaders.

Over 45 stalls have been set up featuring entrepreneurs from Chittagong University, across Chittagong district, and several Dhaka-based startups. Products and services on display span food, handicrafts, fashion, tech-based services, and lifestyle categories.

“Our main goal is to increase mutual communication among entrepreneurs and ensure no entrepreneur misses out on opportunities,” said Anika Hasan Ruponti, a student organizer. “We’re getting a much better response than we expected.”

The seminar featured three guest speakers sharing practical business insights. Abdur Rashid Sohag, CEO of Pupil School Bus, told attendees that entrepreneurial ideas should address social problems rather than personal ones. “An initiative becomes sustainable only when you provide effective solutions to society’s problems,” he said.

Abul Kashem, CEO and Managing Director of XPONENT, emphasized the role of technology in modern business, particularly artificial intelligence. “AI can make every business step more efficient,” he said, drawing from his global market experience.

Fazlur Rahman, Founder and CEO of Tutor Lagbe, discussed innovation as practical problem-solving. “Along with creating something new, a product’s value and effectiveness determine an initiative’s success,” he explained.

Organizers said the expo aims to connect emerging entrepreneurs with real market conditions, test product acceptability, and build an entrepreneur-friendly ecosystem.

The expo continues through January 26, offering networking and experience-sharing opportunities for young entrepreneurs to gain market insights and build confidence for future ventures.
