Mohammad Abu Taiyab, Acting Medical Officer of Chittagong University Medical Center, stated: “A female student was brought in around 12:30 PM. Due to the stone impact, she had a cut from below her nose to her lip. Since the wound was relatively deep, we sent her to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.”

When contacted, Assistant Proctor of the university Professor Md. Bazlur Rahman said : “I have heard about the incident. This is an unfortunate incident, and we will take necessary measures promptly.”

The stone-throwing incident has raised concerns about the safety of students commuting on the shuttle train, which serves as a primary mode of transportation for university students traveling between the city and campus.
