The Basundhara Shuvosangho Chittagong University branch committee has been officially approved for a tenure of one (1) year, effective from January 29, 2026. The announcement marks a significant milestone for the organization’s presence at one of Bangladesh’s premier educational institution, featuring gender-inclusive representation across all levels.
Operating under the motto “Basundhara Shuvosangho – By Everyone’s Side in Good Deeds,” the organization has unveiled its comprehensive committee structure comprising an advisory council, executive committee, thematic secretaries, and active members, with notable gender representation throughout.
Advisory Council: The advisory council includes five distinguished members: Dr. Mahbub Chandra Roy, Dr. Md. Korban Ali, Mohammad Mozammel Haque, Md. Roman Mia, and Mohammad Atiq Ullah.
Executive Committee: Jannatun Ferdous Tusha has been appointed as President. The committee includes six Vice Presidents: Md. Sabuj, Rakesh Achar, Md. Saddam Rahman Saddin, Mahfuzul Islam, Sumanta Roy, and Al Mamun.
Shahriar Munim Sabit will serve as General Secretary, supported by six Joint General Secretaries: Kaberi Jannat, Limon Chakma, Mohammad Asif Hosen, Mehedi Hasan Shubho, Ferdous Alam Sagar, and Jannatun Hawa Nira.
The organizational structure is further strengthened by key positions including Md. Mehedi Hasan as Organizing Secretary, Jannati Kaosar as Finance Secretary, Md. Sahidul Islam as Office Secretary, and Afzia Salma as Women Affairs Secretary, each supported by their respective assistant secretaries.
Thematic Secretaries: The committee has established 26 specialized secretarial positions covering diverse portfolios including Women and Child Affairs, Events, Planning and Work, Publications, Literature and Culture, Health and Human Resources, Sports, Information Technology, Skills and Training, Education and Study Circle, Hospitality, Relief and Disaster Management, Environment, Social Welfare, and Legal Affairs.
Active Members: The committee is complemented by 17 active members who will support various organizational activities and initiatives throughout the year.
With this comprehensive 67-member committee structure, Basundhara Shuvosangho Chittagong University branch aims to strengthen its commitment to social welfare, community service, and student development over the next year.
