The Chittagong University Central Students Union (CUCSU) has approved its annual budget of BDT 1 crore 67 lakh 81 thousand 895 at the third emergency executive meeting of the 7th Cabinet. The meeting was held on April 8, 2026, at the Vice-Chancellor’s conference room in the Dr. A R Mallick Building (Administrative Building) of Chittagong University.
The meeting was chaired by CUCSU President and Vice-Chancellor of Chittagong University, Professor Dr. Muhammad Al-Forkan. Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Administration) Professor Dr. Md. Kamal Uddin and Acting Controller of Accounts Md. Amirul Islam were present as special guests. CUCSU General Secretary Saeed Bin Habib moderated the session.
Earlier, on April 1, 2026, CUCSU Treasurer Professor Dr. Muhammad Alamgir had proposed an initial budget of BDT 5 crore 23 lakh 53 thousand 873 at a dedicated budget session. After review across three subsequent meetings, the budget committee finalized a revised figure.
As the treasurer was absent during the third emergency meeting, CUCSU Vice-President Ibrahim Hossain Roni presented the budget on his behalf with the permission of the chair. The revised budget of BDT 1 crore 67 lakh 81 thousand 895 was then approved unanimously.
