Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir has announced a partial leadership configuration for the remaining period of the 2026 session for its Chittagong University (CU) unit, with Ibrahim Hossen Roni continuing his tenure as President and Habibullah Khalid nominated as the new branch Secretary.
The decision was finalized during a member assembly held on Wednesday, June 24, on the basis of opinions and consultations provided by the general members of the unit. The announlcement was made in a session where Central Office Secretary Azizur Rahman Azad served as the moderator, and Shibir Central Secretary General Sibgatullah attended as the chief guest.
During the convention, Secretary General Sibgatullah declared the outgoing CU unit Secretary, Mohammad Parvez, as a central manpower asset, which left the position vacant. Following this, he invited recommendations from the attending unit members to select a successor to work alongside the existing president.
Based on the strategic consensus and advice provided by the general members, CU unit President Ibrahim Hossen Roni officially nominated Habibullah Khalid to step in as the branch Secretary for the rest of the 2026 term, solidifying the top leadership duo for the remainder of the session. The assembly concluded with prayers and a special supplication session.
