The Kushtia District Student Organization at Chittagong University (CU) has announced its new executive committee for the 2026-27 term. Shahirul Islam Pulok has been named president, and Sumaiya Bashar Samanta will serve as general secretary.
The organization shared the announcement in a notice on Friday, July 3.
President Pulok is a student in the Department of Law, 2021-22 academic session. General Secretary Samanta studies in the Department of History, also from the 2021-22 session.
Speaking after his appointment, Pulok said his main goal is to build a united, active, and student-friendly organization for all Kushtia students. He added that the committee will work sincerely to protect students’ rights, welfare, and mutual harmony.
Samanta said she wants to make the organization more dynamic through transparency, accountability, and cooperation, while valuing input from all members. She added that she intends to stand by Kushtia’s students whenever they need support.
The Kushtia District Student Organization, CU has long worked to build unity and brotherhood among Kushtia students at Chittagong University, alongside running various educational, cultural, and welfare activities.
