The Chittagong University (CU) Music Society has announced a “Crowdfunding Musical Campaign,” a music-based fundraising initiative aimed at supporting people affected by recent flooding. The campaign carries the tagline “Sohomormitar Gaan Hok Manobikotar Taan” — “Let songs of empathy become the pull of humanity.”
The campaign will be held at the Chittagong University Railway Station, running from after Maghrib prayers until late at night. Organizers are inviting music lovers and the wider public to join a simple, humanitarian format: listen to songs, spread love, and contribute according to individual capacity. Through live music, the CU Music Society hopes to carry a message of solidarity to those affected by the floods, while channeling voluntary public contributions toward essential relief support for flood-hit communities.
In their appeal, organizers wrote that they hope to spread a message of empathy through song, and through the audience’s spontaneous cooperation, deliver the support that flood-affected people need. The Chittagong University Music Society has extended an open and heartfelt invitation to all music lovers to join the campaign and contribute to the relief effort.
