The Accounting Communication Club (ACC) is set to organize the fifth season of BizStar, a national business case competition, following four successful editions. Presidency University will serve as the title sponsor, with KDS Group as the powering sponsor and Seven Rings Cement and DDN as co-sponsors.
Undergraduate students from all academic backgrounds are eligible to take part. Teams must have two to four members, and students from different universities are allowed to form joint teams.
The competition will run from August 6 to August 31, 2026. In the first round, called Case Catalyst, registered teams will work online to analyze a real business problem and come up with a practical solution. The top 24 teams will then move to the second round, Digital Presentation, where they will present their strategies online and answer questions from judges. Organizers said this year’s competition will not include an Online Video Commercial round, unlike previous seasons. The top six teams will advance to the offline Grand Finale, where they will pitch their final strategies before a panel of judges.
The total prize pool for this season stands at BDT 250,000. The champion team will receive BDT 100,000, the first runners-up will get BDT 70,000, and the second runners-up will take home BDT 50,000. The remaining finalist teams will each receive BDT 10,000.
Students from the University of Chittagong can register offline at the organizers’ booth on campus, while students from other universities must complete registration entirely online through a form. The registration fee is set at BDT 550, payable through bKash or Nagad at 01742009272. The registration deadline is August 3, 2026, at 11:59 pm.
