CU Correspondent
Chittagong University Career Club (CUCC) held its General Member 9.0 orientation on August 25, 2026, at the BBA Auditorium on campus. The event formally welcomed a new batch of members into the club.
The program opened with the national anthem, followed by remarks from General Secretary Umme Humaira Saika Afsar and President Tanvir Hossain. Through a presentation, President Hossain walked the newcomers through CUCC’s activities, its different wings, how the club is organized, and what lies ahead for the group.
Moderator Afzalur Rahman and Professor Dr. Md. Enayet Ullah Patwary, Dean of the Faculty of Social Science, also addressed the gathering. Assistant Organizing Secretaries Md. Golam Mohiuddin and Md. Tajim Chowdhury spoke as well, encouraging the new members to build their skills, grow as leaders, and take an active role in club activities.
Several former office-bearers attended and shared their experiences, including former President Rafsan Hossain Alvi, former Vice President Mozahidul Islam Selim, former Assistant General Secretaries Sabbir Hossain and Mehedi Hasan Robin, and former Head of Corporate Affairs Tushar Nath Ontu. CUCC’s founding President, Shahriar Alam, was also present and spoke at the event.
During the ceremony, 15 general members were handed appointment letters and ID cards, marking the official start of their journey with the club. The program was hosted by Nushaba Rahman, Sheowashir Mohammad Sami, Tajbiul Ahsan, Samia Shakila, Raihan Bahadur, and Zenith Iqbal. Organizers said they expect the new members’ energy and involvement to strengthen CUCC’s work going forward.
