CU Correspondent
The Cumilla District Students’ Association has been formed at the University of Chittagong (CU), bringing together students from Cumilla district. The committee was approved under the supervision of CU Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Al Amin.
A partial committee for the second half of the 2026 session has been approved, with instructions to complete the full committee within the next seven days.
The approved executive committee includes Md. Bayezid Bostami as president, Noman Ibn Mosleh Uddin as senior vice president, and Md. Rakibul Hasan Shoron as general secretary. Nusrat Jahan Kinnari has been named joint secretary, Kazi Mehedi Hasan as organizational secretary, Md. Mamtahinul Islam Hasnat as office secretary, and Ali Ahmed as publicity secretary.
The student advisory panel includes Alauddin Mohsin, Hasan Ahmed, Rajib Hasan, Md. Arif Hossain, Md. Rifat Islam Suhrid, Md. Jubayer Saimon, Md. Monaem Sharif, Niamat Ullah (Abrar Farabi), Md. Shariful Islam, Md. Tushar Ahmed, and Md. Ridwan Ahmed.
President Md. Bayezid Bostami said many had long been working toward forming this district association. He noted that it has finally been established in an orderly manner under the guidance of Pro-VC Professor Al Amin, who is himself from Comilla. He added that the association will strive to work unitedly on behalf of all Comilla students at CU.
