Student donations from CU fund meal distribution
The BRF Youth Club of Chittagong University distributed food among Palestinian children in Gaza on Wednesday using funds raised from university students.
Cooked meals were provided to children in the Gaza valley on March 4 through the student-led humanitarian initiative.
Azizur Rahman Abdullah, general secretary of CU’s BRF Youth Club, said donations collected from Chittagong University students were sent to support Palestinian children. “The club has previously sent funds to Palestine as well. We aim to continue this work on a regular basis, Insha’Allah,” he said.
SM Shihab, organizational secretary of the club, said, “Palestine is close to our hearts. As students, we lack substantial resources to stand beside them. Still, we are making small efforts within our limited capacity. Project Ten Taka’s Gaza Emergency Response Team helped deliver our aid to Gaza.”
“We are thankful to Allah for giving us the opportunity to serve the holy land in whatever small way we can. Alhamdulillah,” he added.
The BRF Youth Club regularly organizes activities with students including blood donation, public health awareness, environmental programs, study circles, community service and research initiatives.
