A delegation from student organization Voice of Students held a meeting with Chittagong University (CU) Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Forkan on Monday (April 20, 2026) to discuss overall student safety on campus. A memorandum was also submitted during the meeting.
Founder President Ashikur Rahman put forward three key proposals: setting up a permanent police box near Gate 1 and the railway crossing, establishing a temporary RAB camp at the same area, and building a stronger framework to ensure campus security personnel perform their duties more actively and effectively.
The Vice-Chancellor assured the delegation that visible and concrete steps would be taken in the near future. He noted that a meeting with the Director of RAB’s Northern Zone had already taken place and yielded positive progress on the matter. He also encouraged Voice of Students to continue advocating for student rights and welfare going forward.
The delegation included Founder President Ashikur Rahman, Organizational Secretary Ulafatur Rahman Rakib, Assistant Finance Secretary Arafat Al Riyad, and Public Relations Secretary Umme Hani Uchrat.
