Karnaphuli Students’ Association, Chittagong University has announced its 2026–27 executive committee for students from Karnaphuli upazila studying at Chittagong University. The committee was announced at a program held on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at Al Madina Restaurant in Moijjartek, Karnaphuli.
Imran Hossain Saim, a Finance student from the 2020–21 batch, has been named president. Imtiaz Zabed, a Marketing student from the 2021–22 batch, was chosen as general secretary. He also serves as Assistant General Secretary (AGS) of Shahjalal Hall unit under the Chittagong University Central Students’ Union (CUCSU), and as publicity secretary of Chittagong University unit of Chhatra Dal.
The new committee was formally announced by the association’s honorary alumni member and advisor Md. Kamrul Islam Pavel, along with two former presidents, Mohammad Javed Hossain Emon and Imtiaz Ahmed Emon. Committee members, former leaders, and other notable figures attended the event. Attendees wished the new committee well and discussed the organization’s future activities, goals, and plans. The event concluded with warm participation from everyone present.
Speaking after receiving the new role, General Secretary Imtiaz Zabed thanked all members of the organization and expressed hope that the new committee’s efforts would make the group’s activities more active going forward.
Notably, Karnaphuli Students’ Association, Chittagong University is a non-political, service-oriented organization. Since its founding, it has worked on students’ intellectual development, awareness seminars on higher education, bus services for university admission candidates, environmental awareness, and various social and humanitarian activities.
