Chittagong, February 8, 2026
Students For Liberty organized a dialogue titled “Human Respect: Does It Lean Toward Individualism or Collectivism?” on Friday at Fry Guys Restaurant, exploring the foundations of mutual respect in society.

The event, held at 4:00 PM, 6 February 2026, brought together members of SBS Students Association, Youth Net Global Bangladesh, Nobody To Somebody, and University of Chittagong students. A second session, “Human Respect: Introduction to a Philosophy at Bhatiary,” was also held the same day.

Md. Takveer Ahmed Miyaji, Senior Local Coordinator of Students For Liberty, moderated the dialogue. Other speakers included Imam Hasan Saikat and M R Jisad.

Addressing the theme, Miyaji stated: “Human respect is not merely about not hurting someone or not stealing; it is a life philosophy where no one harms others through deception, coercion, or abuse of power. A safe society is built on mutual respect and trust, not just laws or weapons.”

Speakers emphasized the importance of mutual respect, critical thinking, and social responsibility among students. Participants engaged in open discussions about balancing individual rights with collective obligations.

Notable attendees included Shahadat Hossain (Rotary Club of Chittagong Waterfall), Kayes Haque (Youth Global Network), Ellis Syed Reza (Nobody To Somebody), and representatives from various social and student organizations.
