Over 120 students attend skill development program on digital safety and IT career opportunities
Chittagong University Criminology Society (CUCS) organized a skill development and awareness session titled “Cyber Security and Ethical Hacking with IT Career Guidelines” on Monday, January 26, 2026. The session was presented by GM IT Academy.
The program featured comprehensive discussions on cyber security, cyber crimes, and strategies for staying safe on digital platforms. Participants received practical guidance on how to protect personal information and maintain privacy online effectively. The session also highlighted fundamental techniques of responsible and positive ethical hacking.
Speaking at the event, CUCS President Farhan Nasim said: “In the current age of artificial intelligence, protecting personal privacy is becoming increasingly difficult day by day, and the number of cyber crimes is rapidly rising. In this situation, creating awareness about cyber security is extremely urgent. Cyber security is a promising and growing field where there are extensive employment opportunities for students. Today’s session has been organized with this goal in mind.”
The event drew over 120 participants, demonstrating strong student interest in cyber security and digital safety.
Organizers announced that CUCS plans to arrange more such educational and effective sessions in the future to enhance students’ skills and increase awareness about cyber security.
The initiative reflects growing recognition of the importance of digital literacy and cyber security knowledge in an increasingly AI-driven world, while also highlighting career opportunities in this expanding field for university students.
